Many Challenges This Year

I have had many challenges this year in my journey to getting healthier but am ending the year being on track and making positive changes to  my lifestyle. I am going to work hard to maintain the positive changes and add to them.
I have gotten into the groove of making better food choices and limiting those foods that I know drags me down and makes me feel sluggish.

This coming week I will be away from home but I am not going to let that get in the way of making good choice for food and getting exercise in as well. The hotel we will be staying at has a fitness center so I hope to use it everyday while hubby is in meetings at his conference. I know I can do this!!

I also had challenges in my second semester of college. There were times I struggled but still managed maintain a decent overall average in my classes. I still really enjoy school and my classes even though it is getting a bit harder now.

Freshman at 50

It was about this time last year that I made the decision to get a college education, something I chose to forgo after graduating high school back in the '80s. It is something I considered many times over the year but never really acted on it. Last December I made the decision to go to college and in early January I became a student. The first semester had a few rough moments but I made it through with alot of hard work and God's grace! The second semester was tougher but again by the Grace of God, I pulled through it with decent grades. In a couple weeks, I begin my "Sophomore" year and will start taking some of the classes required for my Administrative Office Technology Associate Degree. I am anxious to see what this semester holds for me, God willing.
